Lander University
Project entailed new athletic fields and phased field house for Lander University in a park-like setting. Included in the scope are baseball, softball and soccer stadiums with a 16 court tennis complex, along with intramural playing fields. Athletic lighting designs complied with NCAA Best Practices and IES Standards, with separate designs provided for traditional lighting systems and constant illumination systems to provide bidding comparability. Stadiums were provided with sound systems, scoreboards and controls, and an integrated voice evacuation fire alarm system. Infrastructure with ductbank and manholes was provided for power and communications, with provisions for spare conduits and interconnection to the remote campus Communication Center. In addition, design allows for connection of power and data infrastructure to an athletic field house being designed as a separate project with lockers, coaches’ offices, weight training, etc. Lighting controls are provided to allow for security illumination after hours. Fiber and data connectivity to all press boxes were included, with power provided on each field for events such as concerts, etc.
