Renovation & Expansion
After the first floor renovation, the lower floor is now complete. A newly renovated kitchen, lower bar, dining area and pro shop at the main building plus a Lawn Sports new observation area and outdoor bar completes the renovation. Burdette is getting ready to provide the electrical design for a renovation of their fitness area as well.
New Restaurant
Burdette recently completed the electrical design for renovation to an existing 7,500SF space for a new restaurant in downtown Greenville, SC. This exciting new space is close to Fluor Field in Greenville’s West End.
New Construction
Burdette Engineering Inc. provided electrical design services for this new headquarters for Southern First Bank located on Laurens Road and Verdae Boulevard, Greenville, SC. The 5 story building will be 107,000 SF and will be more than double the current size of the bank’s headquarters.
New Restaurant / Amenity Deck
Burdette is providing the electrical design for a full-service kitchen, bar and dining room with outdoor covered and open spaces and associated storage will be atop the existing parking garage on McDuffie Street in downtown Anderson, SC.
New Construction
Burdette provided the electrical design for this approximately 22,000 SF building in Chesnee, SC. Housing both retail and job training/placement elements, it is modeled after similar buildings we completed in Greenville and Travelers Rest, SC.
New Building
Burdette provided the full electrical design for this prominent building in downtown Greenville, SC. The tower was the final major piece of the mixed-use Camperdown development and includes 5 levels of luxury residences sitting above office and retail space. The building is approximately 350,000 square feet and rises 17 levels above street level.
Renovation
Project included Burdette’s services for electrical design of 6000 SF retail space for a Hale’s Jewelers on Verdae Avenue, Greenville, South Carolina. Services included power distribution and service entrance, lighting design and controls, and emergency lighting.
Greenville-Spartanburg Airport
Burdette performed the electrical design and specifications for renovations to approximately 30,000 square feet of hangar space and 20,000 square feet of office/mechanical spaces in existing Hangar No 1, located at 2102 Greenville-Spartanburg Drive at Greenville Spartanburg Airport. This is part of an ongoing effort to expand, renovate and expand the airport.
New Dealership
Burdette recently completed a 24,000 SF warehouse expansion addition to the north and a 36,600 SF expansion to the south to finish a two-year improvement project to provide the means for ZF – Duncan South Carolina Division to expand their presence in the Upstate Greenville, SC. Full electrical design for the expansion included: design of service entrances, lighting for interior and emergency, power distribution for HVAC, convenience and service shop equipment, telecommunications and audio visual raceways, fire alarm system and security, site lighting for new cars and general parking.
Shell and Core Building
Burdette provided the complete electrical design for the renovations to this 5 story office building with approximately 23,000SF per level. Later the garage portion of the project was added to the scope. Services include: power and LED lighting throughout, security camera rough-ins and power to elevator and exhaust system for the garage.
New Facility
Burdette provided the complete electrical design for this new standalone facility and job connection center. The new building is approximately 20,000SF and was opened and put into operation in November 2016.
New Building
This new 8 story building is a prominent addition to Greenville’s downtown across from the Peace Center Complex. Burdette Engineering, Inc. designed the electrical systems to include lighting, HVAC and fire alarm system for the apartments and the retail spaces of the building.
Renovation/Addition
Burdette Engineering provided electrical engineering services for phasing work required for the demolition and construction of a new 38,000 square foot YMCA, re-work of pool equipment, new outdoor pool, renovated gymnasium, and some site lighting changes. At this time, existing electrical services were re-worked to remain in operation during construction. New design included power, lighting, fire alarm and voice/data raceways. Later, a new administration building was added to the facility, and most recently, a new flex room was added and existing space converted into a flex fitness room.
Project Starlight
LEED Silver Certification, 2008
Hubbell Project Starlight was a new construction of approximately 162,000 SF. Electrical systems design included lighting, power, fire alarm and security. The building also is an excellent example of building automation interfaces, lighting and daylight harvesting.
Historic Renovation
Completed in the 1920’s, this 10-story landmark hotel of downtown Greenville was restored to its former grandeur. Careful attention to detail in the lobbies, restaurant and grand ballrooms was required to remain true to the original design intent. Challenges included updating for codes, infrastructure for power, telecommunications and fire alarm systems, especially through the extensive marble and plaster finishes.
Careful coordination with budgeting and close interface with building officials allowed this project to move forward and spark the upgrade of the south end of Main Street.
Call Center, Office
A stately 60,000 SF, four story, call center and office building included under-floor modular power and data cabling for flexible spaces. Data connectivity to Data Center was provided, complete with UPS and 2MVA generator backup. Subsequent projects expanded the Data Center and redundant utility and generator feeds.
Building Conversion
ENERGY STAR for Superior Energy Performance, 2011
This longtime electrical distribution center and warehouse was converted to a technologically robust 60,000 SF, flex space for technical incubation spaces for entrepreneurial companies. Electrical design of building included interior and exterior lighting, HVAC, fire alarm, and data raceways. Since initial building conversion, Burdette has participated in the upfit of GNOSO, TiBA, Lab 21 and CIOT Diamond at the Center.
