Renovation

Burdette provided the electrical design to renovate an existing warehouse into a new mixed used Worship Center with approximate 37,000 square feet area for the Worship Center.  The remaining approximately 38,000 square foot area were left as a leasable shell spaces.  The remaining 37,000 square of space will remain as a separately leased tenant space for a total of 112,000 square feet.

Pendleton Street Baptist ChurchGreenville, SC

New West End Campus

Burdette provided the electrical design for the New West End Campus of Pendleton Street Baptist Church in Greenville, SC.  The Campus will consist of an ~4,000SF, 1 – story existing facility that will be renovated as offices and meeting spaces, and a new 2 – story, ~ 6700SF Church facility with new assembly space, lobby, restrooms, elevator and meeting space.

Hampton Park Baptist ChurchGreenville, SC

Renovations

Provided electrical design services for renovations to existing sanctuary, balcony and fellowship areas to include:  new lighting for sanctuary, vestibule areas, fellowship, new rear corridors and other areas affected by new ceilings; power distribution design of  lighting and controls, AV, convenience power and café equipment; design of emergency and exit lighting for egress lighting; new dimming system and controls for sanctuary area LED lighting; relocation of existing fire alarm devices as required by construction.

 

Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic ChurchGreenville, SC

New Church

This new 15788SF Romanesque-style church is sure to renew and inspire the community at the intersection of Augusta Road and James Drive.  Burdette Engineering, Inc. provided the complete electrical design for the new sanctuary set to replace the original building built in 1955.

St. Matthew’s Lutheran ChurchCharleston, SC

Historic Renovation

Project entailed complete renovation of electrical and mechanical systems along with building envelope to preserve historic structure on Marion Square.  Original structure was built in the 1880’s and last renovated in the 1960’s.  Project design included coordination with Board of Architectural Review for lighting mockup for church façade as well as conversion for color corrected LED lighting to reduce energy and maintenance.  Complete new electrical systems were provided for the historic church, requiring intense attention to detail.  New dimming and sound systems were also provided.

St. Anthony of Padua Catholic SchoolGreenville, SC

New Classrooms/Gym Building

Burdette provided electrical design and specifications for approximately 34,000sf of classroom and gymnasium building for St. Anthony of Padua Catholic School located in Greenville, SC., with an alternate for kitchen, dining and additional classrooms.  Services included coordination of new services with power, telephone and cable utilities, power distribution for HVAC, convenience and elevator equipment power, lighting and controls, including gymnasium lighting, emergency lighting, site lighting for new parking area to be controlled from new building, data cabling and fire alarm systems.

 

First Baptist ChurchGreenville, SC

Activities Ministry Center
LEED Silver Certification, 2010

New 41,550 SF activities center for First Baptist Church in Greenville, SC.  In addition to power distribution, lighting and controls, project entailed electrical engineering design to include voice evacuation system, fire alarm and site lighting.  Site lighting included lighting for an outside basketball court, new parking lot, and building mounted fixtures to light the exterior stairs and the patios.  Interior lighting, Audio Visual, HVAC, Security and LEED certification services were also provided.

Calvary Baptist ChurchSimpsonville, SC

New Sanctuary

Burdette Engineering provided complete electrical design of this 1200 seat sanctuary with auditorium, atrium, courtyard and other gathering spaces.  Electrical design services include interior lighting and dimming systems, exterior site lighting for steeple, courtyard, walkways, and parking lot.  Project included design for HVAC, fire alarm, security and building communication and data systems.

St. Luke’s United Methodist ChurchWalhalla, SC

New 200 Seat Sanctuary 

Provided for interior lighting, dimming systems, and emergency lighting, along with sound system and fire alarm. Provided design of site lighting for parking lot, exterior accents, egress lighting, lightning protection, and power distribution to include service entrance and HVAC, lighting and convenience outlets.

Furman University ChapelGreenville, SC

Furman University
350 Seat Sanctuary

Electrical design for 27,000 SF chapel on Furman University grounds.  The chapel was designed as a focal point of the campus mall with an impressive facade and steeple.  Burdette Engineering provided engineering for lighting, dimming controls, fire alarm and power distribution with sanctuary architectural, theatrical and accent lighting to highlight the altar, organ and other architectural elements.  In addition to the sanctuary, the lower level includes offices, meeting rooms, and parlor for various student and staff uses.

Furman University
Buddhist Temple

The Place of Peace is a Japanese temple that was donated and relocated to Furman University from Nagoya, Japan by the Tszuki family.  Burdette provided the electrical engineering to facilitate the re-assembly of the temple on Furman University grounds in 2008.
